Summer Fashion 2012 part two

During the editing and retouching of this shoot I have really started thinking about how my style and vision suddenly has made a huge turn. I started writing it in this post, but I figured I would just get the photos out for now, and write a proper blog post on this soon.

I feel really privileged to have the opportunity to work with the team we put together for this shoot. Everyone did an amazing job and I look forward to working with these people again. I would also like to thank our buddy Jonas from the nearby gym Arena Treningssenter. As we showed up at the location and started getting ready, the norwegian climate kicked in and we realized that if we were going to work outside for more than a couple of hours we were most likely to freeze to death before the shoot was over. Jonas allowed our models and hair/makeup to stay inside in the gyms reception to keep warm and comfy while Trond (assistant) and me were outside getting ready for the next setup. Thank you Jonas! I don´t even think we would be able to do this without your help.

Summer Fashion 2012 part one

Last weekend I had the most fun shoot I have ever done! After talking to Sian (makeup) two weeks ago we decided to get together and shoot a fashion series. We didn´t have much time as she was leaving for vacation and we wanted to shoot before she left. A few days later, after having a short meeting and trying to figure out what we wanted to do, we started to get a vague idea about what we were going for. In this project we aimed to get the final shots published in an online magazine called Flawless Magazine. They were open for submissions for their next issue and they needed a 10 shot fashion series with the theme "summer fashion 2012".

Our main issue with this shoot was to find some proper models, since we only had a few days to plan the shoot. After looking everywhere possible in Stavanger we ended up picking Martin Myhrvold, Neringe Zakyte and Linn Harbo Dahle, and I could not have been happier with our choices! They all did an amazing job even though they had to run around wearing summer clothing all day while we were all freezing out asses off.

Marthe (stylist) was working non-stop for days to find the right outfits and managed to come up with three different looks for each model in a very short amount of time.

I will show you the first part of the series today, and then post the rest of the photos tomorrow.

Trine Beauty shoot

ok, its been a long time since my last blog post. I have had so much going on that I have not been able to finish my last shoots until now. The good thing is that now I have three shoots lined up to be released here, and you should expect to see them soon!

The shots of todays post where some beauty shots I did in collaboration with makeup artist Sian Elvy and Trine Ruud Grønningen (model). We had a fun day in the studio, and as usual Trine delivered some really nice shots! I have worked with Trine a number of times, and we grabbed the opportunity to shoot twice the week she was in Stavanger, as she lives in Oslo now. Shooting Trine is just as fun every single time, as she has her very own way to move in front of the camera which gives me some really interesting poses! There will be another blog post with Trines 2nd shoot up next week aswell.

I also got to meet a fellow photographer from Stavanger, Susan Jane McLinden who assisted me for the day! Sian also brought a makeup assistant, Hanna Castle. Right now she is taking makeup classes and I hope I will get to work with her soon aswell.
